25 March 2026 – “Japan in Art” Exhibition Inaguration | National Art Gallery, Islamabad
PJCA, in collaboration with the Embassy of Japan in Pakistan, inaugurated the exhibition celebrating art and Japan–Pakistan friendship. Ambassador Shuichi Akamatsu conferred the Ambassador’s Commendation 2026 upon Mr. Jamal Shah, while the PJCA official website was also launched on the occasion.

Ms. Nigar Nazar, PJCA Executive Member and renowned Pakistani cartoonist, was awarded the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz by President Dr. Arif Alvi for her contributions to women empowerment. She was honored at Aiwan-e-Saddar, Islamabad.
Ms. Nazar has also received the Mohtarma Fatima Jinnah Award and the Booruker UNESCO Prize (1997) for her humanitarian work. View more details.

[INAUGURATION OF HAIKU POETRY ART ILLUSTRATION EXHIBITION]

The Haiku Poetry Art Illustration Exhibition was inaugurated by H.E. Mr. Mitsuhiro WADA Ambassador of Japan to Pakistan together with Mr. Justice (Retd) Mr. Ali Nawaz Chowhan, President Pakistan Japan Cultural Association (PJCA), Islamabad at the National Art Gallery on September 22, 2022. The exhibition was organized by PJCA and the Embassy of Japan in collaboration with Pakistan National Council of the Arts. The same Exhibition later travelled to Peshawar and Abbottabad as well.
