A Proud Moment in PJCA History (1984)
On November 3, 1984—celebrated as Culture Day in Japan—the Order of the Sacred Treasure (3rd Class) was conferred upon Mr. M.S. Mahboob, Founding President of the Pakistan Japan Cultural Association (PJCA).
The honor, granted by His Majesty Emperor Hirohito under the official seal of Prime Minister Yasuhiro Nakasone, was formally presented in Islamabad by the Ambassador of Japan to Pakistan.
This prestigious recognition acknowledged Mr. Mahboob’s dedicated efforts in promoting friendship and mutual understanding between the people of Pakistan and Japan through cultural initiatives and sustained exchanges between PJCA and its sister organization in Tokyo.
A timeless testament to the enduring power of cultural diplomacy and people-to-people connections.
Acknowledgement: PJCA, Islamabad extends its sincere thanks to Dr. Najam Siddiqui, former Secretary General, for contributing these important historical records to the PJCA Archives.
