[Celebrating the 65th Birthday of His Majesty Emperor Naruhito]

On February 18, 2025, H.E. Akamatsu Shuichi, Ambassador of Japan to Pakistan, hosted a grand reception to mark the 65th birthday of His Majesty Emperor Naruhito. The event, held at a local hotel, was graced by Federal Minister for Commerce, Jam Kamal Khan, as the chief guest, along with esteemed diplomats, government officials, and members of the business and cultural communities.

In his address, Ambassador Akamatsu expressed his gratitude for Pakistan’s warm hospitality and reaffirmed Japan’s dedication to strengthening bilateral relations. He further encouraged Pakistan’s active participation in Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, inviting Pakistanis to experience Japan firsthand.

The reception also featured a vibrant showcase of Japanese culture, including:

Taiko drumming & So-ran bushi folk dance by students of the Islamabad Japanese School

Ikebana & Bonsai exhibitions by the Lahore Sogetsu Study Group & Lahore Bonsai Society

Displays by JICA and Japanese companies

On this special occasion, Mr. Jamal Shah, President PJCA, and Mr. Mushtaq Moeeni, Secretary General PJCA, extended their heartfelt greetings to Ambassador Akamatsu and Madam Ambassador, conveying their best wishes for continued friendship and collaboration between Japan and Pakistan.
