Introduced Japanese food on PJCA’ social media platform.
Japanese cuisine offers rich variety and history. Sashimi is fresh seafood served without rice, often as an elegant appetizer, while sushi pairs vinegared rice with toppings and evolved from Edo-era street food into a refined art. Udon, thick wheat noodles, is a comforting staple served in simple broth with toppings. Tempura, introduced via Portuguese influence in the 16th century, features lightly battered, deep-fried seafood and vegetables.
